Just copy and paste my folders ( USS constitution SS)and (USS Constitution RoughSeas) into your FS9 Aircraft folder..
Copy the effect files into (Effects) folder of FS9..you may have one of them..either overwrite or not
Start FS9 and under (Create a flight) scroll to ( Ron PleaZure bOatZ) and select the variation of Boats...
THE VARIATIONS..
1 USS constitution SS - this ship model is for fair weather sailing and shooting off the cannons to show off to the ladies..
Just randomly hit the (I) key to fire off a few (badly aimed) but effective cannonball shots.
2 USS Constitution RoughSeas - This one is for deep sea sailing in rough seas..no need for firing cannon balls to show
off here..its save your ship time!! This model has 2 extra special effects - extra waterspray and mist - and an ship
gets a decks awash into the waves..
a. For the extra mist/spray press the (I) key to turn on/off..NOTE -if you are viewing from cocpit mode then turn this feature
off..as the spray causes a white out (unless you want it that way!!)
b. For decks awash -hold down the (SHIFT+E) keys - the ship will bow down into the waves flooding the deck..Press the
(SHIFT+E) key again to recover ..NOTE..When you press this option it will disable the zoom in/zoom out temporarily--
just toggle through the views -(S) key to restore the zoom!! that is..at any point of this effect..
Best settings--to me the best are to experiment with user created weather settings- but the auto settings are great 2.
INFO..The rough seas version of this model has the wave effect attached to it..that is,it will follow wherever you go..
If you wish to attach this effect to your favorite ship just add it into the aircraft.cfg..replace the wake
setting..as
[EFFECTS}
WAKE= fx_wake_RoughSeas it will cover a huge area around your craft..you may have to switch out your main wake to
another slot such as - Water= - and edit your fx effect so it plays flat instead up vertical..just open your wake fx file
and under - particle attributes-look for -TempK= and TempRate= and disable them with a slash --as
//TempK=
//TempRate=
Your new wake will look different but you will have a wake..
Copy the (USS Constitution fliGHt) folder into your fs9 (Flights) folder for a preset demo flight..remember to
press the (I) key for extra mist/spray when flight starts
